Jenna Boyd is a certified, professional Feng Shui consultant with expertise in home and workspaces, consulting with numerous clients to improve the quality of their life or the life of their business using Feng Shui, the art of placement. Jenna’s down-to-earth approach to Feng Shui makes the ancient study easy, understandable and applicable for today’s lifestyle.
Through her efforts she has found that life flows more easily when living and working in an environment that follows basic Feng Shui principles. Jenna's goal is to help others create a more "balanced space," with the ultimate result being a functional, supportive environment that incorporates one’s personal style. "When we feel good in our space, we are able to fully express ourselves in our life," says Jenna.
Jenna has provided classes, lectures and training for SAS, KB Home and Storehouse. Meredith College Community Outreach Program hosts Jenna’s spring and fall 5-week Feng Shui Classes. She has contributed articles for the “My Space” column of PINK Magazine, the magazine dedicated to professional women. Her topics discus the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui and Five Element Theory that explain how our environments are the outward expression of inner inspiration and how utilizing the natural elements can enhance a space and affect life positively.
Jenna began her Feng Shui career after a decade of corporate marketing and ad agency experience. Jenna’s mother and a family friend introduced her to Feng Shui in 2000. She began reading books and implementing the concepts into her home and work environment. When the principles came easily to her and she witnessed signs of improvement in her life, Jenna became passionate about expanding her knowledge and helping family and friends implement them into their spaces.
During the winter of 2002/2003 she studied with internationally known Terah Kathryn Collins of the Western School of Feng Shui and Sharon Stasney of the Feng Shui Training Center. A month upon her return from California, bursting with ideas, Jenna resigned her corporate life to create a new career that she felt would be creative and meaningful. On April 9, 2003 Jenna opened Elements of Harmony Feng Shui in Atlanta, GA, and her dream of working from home and helping others create balanced environments came true.
Her first community service project was with Chastain Art Center in Atlanta. “Since painting our door red, we are enjoying unprecedented cooperation and support from the Bureau of Cultural Affairs,” said the manager of the center. The Center later obtained funding for renovation. Jenna taught her first Feng Shui classes at Chastain Art Center.
Jenna built her client base in Atlanta, consulting with clients primarily in their home and office spaces. Clients were often surprised at how life would shift after a consultation. Jenna gained confidence in her new career through the positive results her clients were realizing, which confirmed that the big change she had made from corporate life was the right decision.
In 2004, Jenna took a trip to North Carolina to visit friends and family. When she returned to Atlanta, the city that she loved and had called home to for seven wonderful years, she spontaneously decided that she was ready for a change. She appreciated the simplicity and the ease of driving in North Carolina, plus, she felt a need to be closer to her family. On July 4, 2004 Jenna moved to Raleigh, NC and made it her new home.
Currently, Jenna services including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Western Michigan. Now a consultant, writer, speaker and teacher focusing on Feng Shui, Jenna guides others on how they can best utilize their environment to improve their lives.
When she’s not being a Feng Shui consultant, you might catch her at the park with her sweet dog, Sadie Sunshine!
